Note: Approved by the Board of Trustees on Apr. 16, 2026 (consent item H4 'Approval of the 2027-2028 Academic Calendar'; the Apr. 16 minutes, in the May 19, 2026 board packet, record 'The Board approved the 2027-2028 Academic Calendar as presented'). It was only a discussion item on Mar. 26, 2026, although the district's Mar. 26 board brief says trustees approved it that night. This version is marked 'Updated 08-13-2026' (new layout); every date matches the board-approved version (Updated 03-06-2026). Thanksgiving week (Nov. 22-26) is called 'Fall Break'; there is no separate fall break. Dec. 16 is the last day of classes before winter break (Dec. 17 is a teacher work day); Jan. 3 is a staff development day and students return Jan. 4. Oct. 8 and Feb. 18 are student holidays (staff development/conference days). This version does not state the number of instructional days; the board-approved version states 170 (based on a 445-minute day), which matches our count of the listed dates. Memorial Day (May 29) and Juneteenth are after the last day of school.
