Note: Approved by the RISD Board of Trustees at its December 2025 meeting together with the 2026-27 calendar (district announcement of Dec. 12, 2025); the PDF is marked 'Updated 12/11/2025'. Nov. 22-24 are Student Holiday/Staff Exchange Days before the Thanksgiving Holiday (Nov. 25-26), so there is no school all week. Student Holiday/Staff Professional Learning Days (Nov. 1-2, Jan. 4, Feb. 14) are no-school days for students; students return from Winter Break on Jan. 5. April 14 and April 17 are marked 'Make-Up Day (if needed, subject to change)': no school unless the district needs them to make up bad-weather closures. December 17 and May 24 (last day of school) are early release days for all campuses; dismissal is two hours ahead of normal. The legend also lists early release for elementary schools only, but no day is marked with it on this version. Presidents' Day (Feb. 21) is not marked as a day off. The district's online event calendar has no 2027-28 events yet, so no graduation dates. Memorial Day (May 29) falls after the last day. The calendar does not state a number of student days.
