Note: Approved by the Board of Trustees on January 22, 2026 as the traditional base school calendar for 2027-28 (consent agenda item 9.04; the attached calendar is titled '2027-2028 DRAFT TRADITIONAL CALENDAR'). The district's calendar page does not post a final 2027-28 calendar yet (checked Sep 26, 2026). Followed by most Dallas ISD schools; ADSY campuses use the separate ADSY calendar. The calendar names only the Fall Break; Nov 22-26, Dec 20-Jan 3, Mar 13-17 and Apr 14-17 are marked as student/staff holidays. Professional development days (Oct 11, Nov 2, Jan 4) are student holidays; students return Jan 5. Dec 17 and May 25 (last day) are early release days for all students; secondary students also release early Dec 15-16 and May 23-24. March 31 and April 24 are inclement weather days, set aside to make up days lost to bad weather: students have school on them only if they are needed.
