Winter Break is printed as December 20 - January 3; January 3 is also a systemwide in-service day, and students return Tuesday, January 4. The first day (Aug 10) and last day (May 24) are half days for students, as are Sep 15, Nov 17, Dec 17, Feb 2 and Mar 22. In-service days with no school for students: Nov 2, Feb 21 and Apr 17 (Feb 21 is Presidents' Day, but the calendar lists it only as a systemwide in-service day/student holiday). Schools are closed Friday April 14 (listed as "Holiday"). 180 instructional days = 177 student days plus 3 days accumulated under the daily 7-hour schedule. Up to 8 instructional days can be cancelled for inclement weather or illness before any make-up days are required.
