Note: Adopted by the Board of Education on May 6, 2026 (PDF current as of June 15, 2026; the file name still says Draft 4-22-26, the document header says adopted). Schools open Monday, August 30 for grades 1-5, 6 and 9; grades 7, 8 and 10-12 start Tuesday, August 31. Pre-K and kindergarten begin with parent conferences and staggered openings (all students attend from September 7; ECSE from September 1). November 22-23 are parent/teacher conference days and January 24 is a semester break, both with no school for students. Two-hour early dismissals (Project Unity Days) are Oct 19, Dec 7, Feb 8 and Mar 14. Three inclement weather make-up days, June 12-14, are built into the end of the year; unused make-up days are deducted from the June closing date, so the last day moves earlier if they are not needed. Seniors' last day is May 26. Juneteenth (June 19) falls after the last day. A May conference day with no school for ECSE, Pre-K and kindergarten is TBA.
