First day of classes Thursday, August 27, 2026 (institute days August 24-26); preschool starts September 3. The last day is June 9, 2027 if no emergency days are used; the five emergency days (June 10, 11, 14, 15 and 16) are shaded as no school and are added only if needed, making June 16 the last day if all five are used. November 25 is a non-attendance day before the Thanksgiving Recess (November 26-27). Institute days with no students: November 2-3, January 19, February 26 (Kane County Institute Day) and April 6 (Election Day); April 5 is a Spring Holiday after Spring Recess, so classes resume April 7. High schools only have early release on Sept. 9 and 23, Oct. 14 and 28, Nov. 11, Dec. 9, Jan. 13 and 27, Feb. 10 and 24, Mar. 10 and 24, Apr. 14 and 28, May 12 and 26. High school graduations are on Saturday, May 29, 2027 (calendar document and the district's online event calendar, which lists the same dates). Juneteenth (June 18) is after the last day.
