Note: Board approved February 24, 2026. Kindergarten starts Thursday, Aug 13 and Pre-K Monday, Aug 17; Aug 14 is a regular release day. Early release every Friday from Aug 21, plus exam days Dec 16-18 and May 24-26. Student holiday/teacher workdays: Sep 25, Oct 12, Feb 15 (President's Day) and Mar 19 (the Friday before Spring Break). Winter Break includes Monday, Jan 4; students return Tuesday, Jan 5. The district's 2026-27 make-up day plan sets no make-up dates: 1-3 lost days are covered by instructional time built into the first semester, 4-5 by pushing the first semester into the second, and a 6th would lead to talks with the teachers' union (BFT) about using early-release time.
