The School Board approved this calendar on April 6, 2026 (ASD Memorandum #140, which added three school days); Memorandum #160 of April 21, 2026 left it unchanged. The posted file is marked Revised 8-4-26 and differs from the approved Memo #140 attachment in one date: the approved version shows the Presidents Day holiday on Monday, February 14, 2028 (with February 21 a school day), while the August revision moves it to Monday, February 21, 2028, the actual Presidents' Day, and makes February 14 a school day. No board action on the August revision was found, so Presidents' Day is marked unconfirmed; the revised date is shown. Staggered start at comprehensive/neighborhood schools: grades 1-6 and 9 start Thursday, August 12, 2027; grades 7-8 and 10-12 Friday, August 13; preschool and kindergarten Thursday, August 19. Student release days (no school for students): grading days October 8, December 17 and March 10, and professional development days October 29, November 1 and February 25. April 17, 2028 is an "April closure day" with no school for students. December 16 is the last day of classes before Winter Break (December 20-31); classes resume January 3 (New Year's Day falls on a Saturday). Early release for parent/teacher conferences on October 27-28 (all levels) and February 23-24 (elementary only). The calendar designates no make-up days.
